This research was done to formulate and assess the sustained release property of metformin tablets prepared from microcapsules produced by ionic gelation technique using Sida acuta gum or sodium carboxymethylcellulose as retardant. isopropyl alcohol precipitation filtrate obtained distilled water maceration powdered dried leaves.
